Orders
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Yes, as long as the order has not entered production or shipped. Email care@michaeljacket.com with your order number within 12 hours of ordering and we will amend or cancel it.
Do you send order confirmations?
A confirmation with your order number and summary is sent immediately after checkout. Tracking details follow once the parcel leaves our warehouse.
Shipping
How long does delivery take to the USA and UK?
Both the USA and UK are 5–10 business days for standard delivery, including 1–2 days of order processing. Express options are shown at checkout where available.
Is shipping really free?
Standard shipping is free on orders over $199 (or the GBP equivalent). Below that, a flat $19 standard rate applies.
Will I pay customs or duties?
USA and UK orders ship with duties prepaid. For other destinations, local import duties may be charged on delivery and are the customer's responsibility.
Returns
What is your return window?
30 days from delivery, for any reason, provided the jacket is unworn with tags attached. Return shipping is free for USA and UK customers.
How do exchanges work?
Start a return and select 'exchange'. We reserve your replacement size for 14 days so it cannot sell out while your parcel is in transit.
Sizing
Do your jackets run true to size?
Yes, with roughly 2 inches of ease built into the chest. If you are between sizes, size up for layering or down for a close fit. Our Find My Size tool gives a recommendation in seconds.
Can I get a jacket altered?
Sleeve shortening and waist taking-in are both straightforward for a leather tailor. We can recommend specialists in most major US and UK cities.
Products
Is the leather genuine?
Every jacket uses 100% genuine leather — lambskin, goat nappa, cowhide, buffalo, horsehide or sheepskin depending on the style. The exact hide is listed on each product page.
How should I care for my jacket?
Hang on a wide hanger, condition twice yearly with leather balm, and keep it away from direct heat. Never machine wash.
Payments
Which payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider — we never store card details.
Which currencies can I pay in?
USD and GBP. Use the currency selector in the header; prices update across the whole store.
Custom Jackets
How long does a custom jacket take?
Typically 4–6 weeks from confirmed measurements, plus shipping. We share progress photos before finishing.
Can custom jackets be returned?
Custom pieces are made to your measurements and are non-returnable, but we will correct any fit issue caused by us free of charge.
Account
Do I need an account to order?
No — you can check out as a guest. An account lets you track orders, save addresses and keep a wishlist across devices.
